Shitty Movie Club x Hong Kong Cinema Club Present Audience Choice: Hong Kong Insanity
You choose what we watch. We’ll play short clips of our favorite crazy Hong Kong films, and you’ll vote on what we screen. There’ll be a few surprises and interactive elements along with our regular pre-show and showreels.
This is the first collaboration between LA Collectives HKCC and SMC.
The Hong Kong Cinema Club is a monthly screening series in Los Angeles, dedicated to highlighting films from the Golden Age of Hong Kong cinema. HKCC celebrates their 1 year anniversary in June.
Shitty Movie Club has screened 195 movies in 9 countries, spotlighting under-the-radar gems and trying to create an event around them. They post daily reels to their instagram which has amassed over 50M views and 125k followers.
Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
The Fine Print:
Tickets are valid only for the listed film, date, and showtime. All sales are final—no refunds or exchanges unless the event is canceled or rescheduled.
Management reserves the right to deny entry or remove disruptive guests—this includes phone use, texting, talking, or anything else that ruins the experience for others.
No outside food or drinks allowed into the theater.
