A High School Senior (Saoirse Ronan) is wanting to break free of her mother (Laurie Metcalf) and go onto bigger things outside her small town life. One way or another: She still has some growing up to do. Christine “Lady Bird” tries to navigate everything that life can throw at her from first loves who could be gay (Lucas Hedges) or just a jerk (Timothee Chalet) to figuring out who she is as a person. By the end she’ll know who she is… at least partially.
