NoBudge Presents Teddy, Out of Tune (59 min), a hybrid documentary/fiction film about a nomadic musician who drives 2,000 miles north to Canada with a piano strapped to the back of his truck on an emotional mission to spread his mother’s ashes.
Director Daniel Freeman and lead actor Drew Connick will be in attendance for a Q&A.
Screening before the feature:
Funnel of Love (13 min): A commitment-phobe’s distorted, surreal and sensorial view of the chapters in a relationship; charging forward through literal butterflies and spiraling arguments about washing the dishes. Directed by Manuel Branáa and Roque Gonzalez.
Still Moves (10 min): Edison Jones, the shaggy founder of Experimental Institute of Eastern Californiart, would love to move his Institute beyond his van, but for now he’s just going with the flow, making sure to appreciate the small moments and making art. Directed by Daniel Freeman.
Doors open fifteen minutes before showtime.
